Hi, I’m Alexa. Amazon ruined that for me and no, I don’t have one at home.

I’ve been doing hair for as long as I can remember. It started with giving myself bangs as a little kid, then cutting my friends’ hair, my own hair, and eventually my grandma’s. She even trusted 12-year-old me to cut, color, and finish her hair with a roller set. I had no idea what I was doing, but her trust gave me the confidence to begin the creative journey that eventually became Penny Lane.

After more than 16 years behind the chair and over 13 years of growing Penny Lane, my role has evolved. Today, my primary focus is leading the salon, supporting and mentoring our team, and continuing to shape a business where both our guests and our artists feel respected, supported, and able to be themselves.

I’m proud to have helped built a salon rooted in education, collaboration, inclusivity, and a genuine appreciation for all hair types. I remain especially passionate about curls and love helping our stylists develop their craft, confidence, and careers.

Although I no longer maintain a traditional schedule behind the chair, I continue to see a very small number of established clients. I’m not currently accepting appointment requests or maintaining a waitlist. Clients already on my schedule may contact our reception team for booking assistance.
